Privacy Policy
1. What this policy covers
This policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. SR2 Accounting LLC ("we," "us," "our") is a CPA firm serving the Roaring Fork Valley and clients in other states.
It covers the website only. If you become a client, the information you share with us for tax and accounting work is handled under your engagement letter and the professional rules that apply to CPAs, not this policy.
2. What we collect
Information you give us. When you use our contact form, we collect your name, your email address, your phone number if you choose to add it, and your message. When you call us, we have your phone number and whatever you tell us.
Please don't send Social Security numbers, tax documents, account numbers or other sensitive financial information through the contact form. If you're a client, use your secure client portal for anything like that.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical details when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request.
We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site: which pages they visit, how long they stay, roughly where they are (city or region, not a street address), what device and browser they use, and how they found us. Google Analytics sets cookies to do this. We manage it, and any other measurement tags, through Google Tag Manager.
Our contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to block spam. reCAPTCHA collects information about your device and how you use the page, which it sends to Google.
We also use Google Search Console, which shows us how the site appears in Google search results (searches that showed our pages and clicks to them). It doesn't place anything on your device.
We don't use advertising or remarketing tools on this website. If we add any, we'll update this policy first.
3. How we use it
- To reply to your message and answer your questions.
- To set up an engagement if you decide to work with us.
- To understand how the site is used and make it better.
- To keep the contact form free of spam.
- To keep the website running and secure.
- To meet our legal and professional obligations.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.
4. Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers who help us run the website and our practice, and only as much as they need:
- Website hosting and form handling: Netlify.
- Website analytics and tag management: Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
- Spam protection on the contact form: Google reCAPTCHA, under Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
- Search performance reporting: Google Search Console.
- Our secure client portal provider, TaxDome, for clients only.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
5. Cookies and analytics
Google Analytics sets cookies that recognize your browser across visits, so we can see things like how many people return. Google reCAPTCHA may set cookies on the contact page to tell people from bots. We don't use cookies for advertising.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and Google offers a browser add-on that stops Google Analytics from collecting your visits. You can also turn analytics off at any time with Your Privacy Choices, at the foot of every page. The contact form may not work without reCAPTCHA.
6. The client portal
The client portal link on this site takes you to our portal on TaxDome's website. Documents, signatures, invoices and messages you share there are covered by your engagement with us and by TaxDome's own terms and privacy policy.
7. How we protect it
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect the information we hold. No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
8. How long we keep it
We keep contact form messages from people who don't become clients for 24 months. Google Analytics keeps user-level and event-level data for 14 months; that setting governs detailed analysis, not the summary reports. Client records are kept as long as our professional and legal obligations require.
9. Your choices
You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you from this website, to correct it, or to delete it. You can also ask us to stop contacting you at any time. To make a request, call us or use the contact form. We'll respond within 45 days.
Depending on where you live, you may have other rights under your state's privacy law.
10. Links to other sites
Our website links to other sites, such as our Google reviews and the client portal. We aren't responsible for how those sites handle your information, so please read their privacy policies.
11. Children
This website isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with its effective date at the top.
