Three service lines, one approach.
CPA and Accounting Services
Compliance, bookkeeping, and consulting aren't separate products here. The return tells us where the planning opportunities are, the books make the planning possible, and the consulting is where it turns into decisions.
Returns
Tax compliance
Providing tax compliance for S-corporations, partnerships, and individual income tax. Returns filed accurately and on time, with the reasoning behind any judgment call explained rather than buried.
Compliance is where most CPA relationships stop. For us it's where the next year's planning conversation starts, because the return is the clearest picture anyone has of what actually happened.
What this covers
S-corporation returns. Partnership returns. Individual income tax, including returns with rental property, K-1 income, or multi-state exposure. Quarterly estimate planning.
Books
Accounting and bookkeeping
From monthly bookkeeping that includes bank and account reconciliations through to more advanced accounting, we help you manage your financials in a timely manner.
Timely is the operative word. Books that are current let us answer a question in October. Books reconstructed in March only let us file.
What this covers
Monthly bookkeeping. Bank and account reconciliations. Financial statement preparation. Cleanup of books that have fallen behind.
Decisions
Business and tax consulting
Whether it's how to organize your business, best practices to implement, or individual tax strategy, we provide consultation appropriate to your needs.
The consulting work is where proactive stops being a word on a website. Entity structure, an S-corp election, reasonable compensation, the timing of a sale, retirement funding: these all have a right answer for your situation and a wrong one, and the difference is usually decided before the transaction, not after.
We cover the tax implications of an investment decision. We don't give investment or legal advice, and we'll tell you when a question belongs with your attorney or advisor.
What this covers
Entity structure and S-corp election analysis. Reasonable compensation planning. Individual tax strategy. The tax side of retirement contributions, including SEP IRA, solo 401(k), and backdoor Roth. Buying or selling a business.
Four steps
How working with us works
We start with a conversation
You tell us what your situation looks like. We tell you plainly whether we're the right fit and what the work involves.
You get an estimate before anything starts
We bill hourly for tax compliance rather than selling tiered packages, because a return with three rental properties and a K-1 isn't the same job as a simple one. You get an estimate up front and you hear from us if the scope changes.
We stay in touch through the year
Planning conversations happen when the decisions do. If you're weighing something with a tax consequence, that's the moment to call, not the following spring.
Everything runs through your secure client portal
Documents, signatures, invoices, and messages live in one place, so nothing important is sitting in an email thread.

Common questions
Do you offer packages or a flat fee?
No. We bill hourly for tax compliance work. Packages tend to either overcharge simple returns or under-serve complicated ones, and most of our clients sit at the complicated end. You get an estimate before the work starts.
Can you take over books that are behind?
Yes, and it's common. Cleanup is its own piece of work, so we'll scope it separately from the ongoing bookkeeping and tell you what it involves before starting.
Do I need bookkeeping if you only prepare my return?
Not necessarily, but the quality of the planning depends on the quality of the books. If your records are reliable, we can work with what you have.
Do you prepare trust or estate returns?
No. We don't handle trusts and estates, and we don't work in farming or agriculture. If your situation needs either, we'll tell you early and help you find the right person.
What software do you use?
We use TaxDome. Documents, e-signatures, invoices, and messages all run through your SR2 portal, in a browser or in the TaxDome app on your phone.
